Odd. Where specifically is the font located on your system?

Another thing that you might try is to close OOo, rename the
.openoffice.org2 to x-./openoffice.org2-x and reopen OOo. Sometimes bits
in the OOo get borked and allowing OOo to create a new user profile
fixes the problem.

I just had a similar problem after updating to 2.3.1; Fontwork still did
not work properly. It was not rendering in 3D. Renamed the OOo profile
directory, restarted OOo, and poof... Fontwork worked. Took me awhile to
figure out that a setting in my old profile was causing the problem.
