else on this list) could point me in the right direction to turn
this feature off.
As has already been suggested, the way to turn this off generally is
to remove the tick from Tools | Cell Contents > | AutoInput.
But - if you wish to keep this facility generally - there is also a
way to disable this on the fly. The suggested automatic input occurs
only if you press Enter (or click on the green Accept tick) to
confirm the edit whilst the suggestion is displayed. To avoid this,
just press Esc before Enter (or tick).
