You can imagine how frustrating this when one has typed one or two paragraphs and all is not being saved.
I would suspect that possibly your installation of OpenOffice may be
corrupt. Have you tried reinstalling it? The latest version (2.3.1)
can be found at www.openoffice.org. I have OpenOffice installed on XP
Home on one computer here (all others are the Linux version) and also on
XP Professional at work. All work fine.
