- a way to create PDFs from within OpenOffice -- YES, the option to create PDF files is part of OOo - a way to create PDFs from other programs -- NO, however there are a number of open source products that work very well to create PDF files from any program on your computer that has a Print option. One I've used without any troubles for a number of years on several different Windows (Win 2000 & XP haven't tried it on Vista) computers is PDFCreator.
