To select text generally you do not need to use any toolbar at all. Use one of the following methods. o Mouse: Hold down the left mouse button and drag the pointer across the text. o Keyboard: 1. Place the blinker (more correctly IP Mark) at the start of the area you wish to select. 2. Hold the shift key down. 3. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the end of the selection area. o Combination: 1. Click at the start of the area to be selected. 2. Hold shift and click at the end of the selection area. If none of the above methods work you may have a read only document.
