No ".pps" files do _not_ need to be renamed to work in OOo. To make
".pps" presentations auto-start in slide show mode as the do in MS
Powerpoint, you need to install the "Auto Starter" extension from:
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/ImpressRunner
