Is Thunderbird set as your default email app?
Yes. But if it weren't, something would be the default email app,
wouldn't it?
You'd think so, but given my experiences with Windows, nothing surprises
me, other than when it works as it should. In the Linux version of
OpenOffice, you can select what email application you want to use. You
don't have that option in Windows.
In Thunderbird, open up Tools > Options and click on the "Check Now"
button, to see if it is your default email app and select it, if it isn't.
