Sorry I must of got carried away when I added in the "-"

However is there a reason for this? In word I was using "Ctrl [" to decrease the font size and "Ctrl ]" to increase the font size. That worked really well.

I wonder if this is just an arbitrary decision or there is a limitation with access to keys with writer that word doesn't have.

You can use the character “-” in your shortcut key sequences. But otherwise you are correct.

I believe that at one time I came across a macro which expanded the set of allowed characters, but can’t find it at the moment.
