Those are the numbers as collected by and made available from OO.o stats 
project.

The number is not really that surprising - economies of scale in a global 
market is an awesome power to content with.

There is another factor here though that needs to be kept in mind - these numbers are generated by downloads initiated from download.openoffice.org - if a file download is initiated directly from a mirror server it will not be included here. There is no doubt, in my mind anyways, that this would skew the numbers away from the Linux and Mac OSs.

Also, many Linux users will get their copy from elsewhere, depending on their distro. These won't show up on the "official" count.
