Hello! +1 for sysvinit for boot - something more in https://bugzilla.openvz.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3188. Note, you'll also need to create inittab (like this one https://gist.github.com/hamstar/6161321 ) , still have problems with displaying login prompt, though, needs more tweaking here and there , but that's because of i've installed fresh Jessie with systemd as default and switching back later. I've compiled kernel on the box with Jessie itself with default gcc ( https://github.com/CoolCold/openvz-tools/blob/master/kernel/create-ovz-kernel-for-debian.sh )
root@debian-8-jessie-amd64-01:/home/coolcold# cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.32-042stab106.6-el6-openvz (root@debian-8-jessie-amd64-01) (gcc version 4.9.2 (Debian 4.9.2-10) ) #1 SMP Sun May 10 02:51:34 CEST 2015 and booted ok, but not used in anything near the "production", but i believe there gonna be no difference with running openvz kernel @ Wheezy.
