Greetings, I spoke too soon.
It's now true that all the containers will now successfully suspend and resume. However, on closer inspection, it turns out that the mysql ct has an issue; namely, that the mysql socket is dead after the restore, requiring a mysql restart. is this a known issue, or should I file a bug?
