I am using bare metal systems with all SSD drives. Going to do a vanilla install for oVirt.
I have given consideration to the dd idea, as it is a good one. I will have to take one of the systems out of the rack to install it offsite and return it. It might be worth it though given the time constraint. The client is running a full production environment in the same data centre that we are using for the POC, so there is zero flexibility on the isolation policy. Bummer, I know.....
