Unfortunately I'm not in control of which pdf's are sent to our application.
The end user controls which pdf to send. And there are a lot of ways to create 
a pdf.

As workaround I proposed to one of our end users to use CutePDF writer, but the 
end user saw this as a temporary workaround.

FYI - For compatibility reasons, I tend to use a dedicated PDF print driver for 
Microsoft Word documents, such as CutePDF or PrimoPDF on the Windows side.
