i'll try to make a sample with some graphics2D-like rendering, is that
ok ? My interest is rendering maps as pdf.

NP - testing PDFBox 2 and providing feedback is also a very valuable help. And
if you have small samples or time to create some we could use it to enhance our
documentation :-)
