Unfortunately there are no journal files by the moment which could help to 
reproduce the issue. 
Could you please shed some light on how this files should be used to resolve 
the possible future similar issues?

P.S. Broker restart has helped to workaround this issue.

And that error came up repeatedly after that? Its clearly some sort of broker 
side bug but I can't yet come up with a hypothesis as to what exactly...

Were there any errors or warnings logged by the broker just before this? 
(Do you still have the journal files?)
