Hi Fraser, Thank you for the change, it works fine, I just have to convert to Unix line endings. Yes, the cygpath must be called before you use it. What I meant was to keep just the Cygwin detection code at the script begin. Is there any reason why you use Windows line endings? I do not have deep Cygwin knowledge, but all shell scripts that have Cygwin support inside, such as Tomcat catalina.sh, use Unix line endings. See http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/tomcat/trunk/bin/catalina.sh?view=log. There you can also see support for Darwin and os400 embedded.
