We have decided to go with an embedded Apache MINA FtpServer for increased performance and scalability. I think that the FtpServer is lighter than an embedded Jetty server and it servers our needs perfectly.
We will probably embed FtpServer in a ServiceMix JBI component and start it at deployment time. The same component will listen for requests for the blob messages and send the files accordingly. Does this sound like a feasible approach?
