There are no exeptions in the Thunderbird error console (it's empty) and in the sogo log file. But I am glad to say that I do see a "Profind" line now again in the sogo log file when I do a sync. But nothing is synced. Adding a new card gives no new line in the logfile. Thanks for your support!
