For what it is worth, I also had this problem with > beta3 We improved message sending from beta3 to beta4 but there are still unknowns for us when Outlook 2007 just won't send emails. It works fine with 2003 and 2010 but is random for 2007. Any kind of investigation you can do on your side to see when it works and when it doesn't + information sharing would be nice. Hello, The same happens here, and what I saw (or not saw...) that no debug messages from sogo at all when this happens. So maybe it's really not connecting to Samba, Possibly Outlook needs a real DNS working? Br, György
I was running Wireshark and can confirm that nothing was leaving Outlook - it really seemed to think it was disconnected.
I was however finally able to get Outlook 2007 to send emails. I suspect the magic change was to uncheck the 'Cached Exchange Mode' setting. This contradicts the SOGo "Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration Guide". Of some interest is that the Openchange project is quite clear that the 'Cached Exchange Mode' NOT be checked (http://tracker.openchange.org/projects/openchange/wiki/HowTo_Setup_Outlook_with_OpenChange_Server). Anyhow, I hope this helps you too.
