Each one specifies if it uses LDAP/AD or database as authentication source for SOGo. Openchange+SAMBA can be used with both too, but they need their own credentials, which you have to keep in synch by yourself. AFAIK that is so, because SAMBA4 does currently not support shared trust with an AD.
