Hello Andreas,

this works well as long as you choose a sensible autosync interval and avoid editing appointments in the web interface and in Thunderbird at the same time.

Unfortunately, there is a bug in Thunderbird that has existed for a long time, which sometimes leads to Thunderbird reporting "This item has recently been changed on the server" when a reminder is clicked away. It is completely unclear why Thunderbird would want to change something in the appointment. But you can click away these messages and they rarely occur if you have deactivated the option "Show missed reminders for writeable calendars" in Thunderbird.

There is also the problem that appointment invitations are not created or answered via the primary e-mail address if e-mail aliases exist for the user [1].

But as I said, apart from that, this combination works quite well. As widely reported, the Sogo connector is currently not an option for Thunderbird 78.
