Hello Andreas,
this works well as long as you choose a sensible autosync interval and
avoid editing appointments in the web interface and in Thunderbird at
the same time.
Unfortunately, there is a bug in Thunderbird that has existed for a long
time, which sometimes leads to Thunderbird reporting "This item has
recently been changed on the server" when a reminder is clicked away. It
is completely unclear why Thunderbird would want to change something in
the appointment. But you can click away these messages and they rarely
occur if you have deactivated the option "Show missed reminders for
writeable calendars" in Thunderbird.
There is also the problem that appointment invitations are not created
or answered via the primary e-mail address if e-mail aliases exist for
the user [1].
But as I said, apart from that, this combination works quite well. As
widely reported, the Sogo connector is currently not an option for
Thunderbird 78.
