Hi Michael, 5.9.0 will be release at the end of the month - we're currently testing the final version. I have opened an issue for Sonoma https://bugs.sogo.nu/view.php?id=5870. My mac is still in Ventura, but I'm a little bit surprised the issue is fixed (a user said that not fixed in Sonoma in nightly builds)
