Hi all, From the SOGo website: > For performance and troubleshooting reasons, support for ActiveSync will be > removed and replaced by another Microsoft protocol: MAPI over http Does this change anything with push email compatibility for Apple devices?
- I know that macOS Mail.app uses a different protocol to iOS/iPadOS Mail.app - I don’t know which one (or maybe neither?) currently uses ActiveSync for synchronising mail Currently I’m a user of SOGo via Mailcow; I have my macOS devices set up to use IMAP because macOS seem to successfully fetch IMAP mail instantly (maybe IMAP IDLE? Unsure.), but my iOS devices set up to use “Exchange” so that push works rather than a minimum 15-minute fetch cycle. This is sufficient to give me reliable push email on both platforms. Do you foresee that the replacement of ActiveSync with MAPI/HTTP will affect device compatibility/interoperability at all?
