Yes there will be migration scripts from SOGo 5 MAriadb/Postgresql to SOGo 6 
Postgresql.

For me, "PostgreSQL is _required_" definitely sounds like only PostgreSQL will 
be supported.

... and the question is: will there be migration support. For example, 
"distributions" like mailcow which now use MySQL/MariaDB will need to switch, 
preferably in an automated way.

The blog post mentions this:

Question: Will SOGo 6 support MySQL and PostgreSQL? Or just PostgreSQL?
