I just realized that I posted this to the SOGO mailinglist, and not the Mailcow/SOGO mailinglist. Therefore my contribution - however well intended - may not solve things for you.
The only different from Christian's answer is that I used --fresh in the next command. (Well, and perhaps I'm using a different PEM file.) 

update-ca-certificates --fresh
