At some point you have to write some rules specific to your mail stream. At
least I did. Since the spammers always strike first, there's a bit of lag time
before they get put on RBLs or rules written and published by others. Spam
seems to follow somewhat seasonal patterns. Often in the early fall we'll get
slammed with a zillion auto sales spams since dealers are trying to move last
year's inventory to make room for next years models. So I had to write some
rules for auto-sales. After the campaign dies off, I comment them out if
they're not hitting a lot of mail. Of course, you also have to keep your eye
on what gets filtered, because you can catch a lot of ham too, if you aren't
careful. Sometimes it takes a bit of editing to create a safe and effective
rule.

When you install your email server software you can pretty much "walk away"
from it w/o too much more management (apart from security upgrades and such).
Because spam is by nature dynamic, your antispam software is too - you need to
constantly stay on top of your mailstream and tailor it to the spam you're
getting today, not the spam you got last week.

I wonder in addition to what recomened i could add to increase the score.
I am browsing through the archives to learn more but if you think of something
quick i could try.
Switching to postfix is my next goal but this requires me to rebuild my server
as i want to stage the switch and ubuntu server is not happy to have both mta
installed at the same time.

I a still hitting some spam everyday that scores just below 5.

Here are few messages samples.
