I realize there are no rules, but I have always considered it appropriate when communicating on behhalf of a company to use a company email address. I consider gmail use by a company to be a clue that it's 1-person company, or sketchy. What seems to be missing from this conversation is an acknowledgement that to be on DEF_WL, a domain must send essentially zero spam. Given that marketing people are doing to do marketing, that means no marketing email -- just 2FA, bill announcements, and the sort of transactional email that goes only to customers at the email address registered in their account.
