I have been battling this for a few weeks now and I am desperate for a solution. We have a virutal dedicated server and regrettably agreed to use Plesk for control panel interface (not realizing how horrible Plesk is to work with).

Plesk has SpamAssassin and MailEnable installed. Spamassassin, however, was not catching all of the spam for our organization, so after reading documentation online, I ran that bayes filter on a spam mailbox that I had set up. Since then, Event Viewer keeps logging errors for SpamAssassin and memailfilter.exe.

The SpamAssassin error is a SpamC.FilterException. The memailfilter.exe error is "They system cannot find the specified file at C:\SwSoft\Plesk\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\QUEUES\SMTP\Inbound\8AEMDNAIB.MAI"

This makes incoming mail stop. The only way I have found to fix this is to change the pickup event for the MTA to MEMTA.exe, then I can receive mail again, but this causes SpamAssassin to stop filtering spam!

I am clueless about what spamc, spamd, and all that is. I just need to know how to get this to work in Plesk. Can someone please help me here?
