Have a look at the timestamps. The timeout comes always 10 seconds after the mail comes in an scanning starts. I've not found any entry that seemes to describe this 10sec timeout-limit and how to increese it.

The timeout is from your milter. You may be able to configure timeout if the software has such an option.
