Ok, I reviewed the release-notes. My question is do I have to upgrade to 1.5
then 1.6 and then 1.7.2? If this is the case where is the installer for
these versions? Also what about the information I currently have stored in the
repositories. According to the release-notes they will be automatically
upgraded, if I am understanding correctly.

Hi James,

please see the release notes for each release between 1.4 and the
release you're upgrading to (I'd recommend using the latest patch
release in the 1.7 series, currently 1.7.2):
http://subversion.apache.org/docs/release-notes/

The release notes discuss implications of each release upgrade
in great detail. If you have any open questions after reading these
notes please don't hesitate to post to this list again for answers.

Good luck!
