No, just pointing to the new URL will be enough.

  2. The '--relocate' option is deprecated. This syntax is equivalent to
     'svn relocate FROM-PREFIX TO-PREFIX [PATH]'.



So, 'svn relocate', not 'svn switch --relocate'. :)
