The example at http://jumpstart.doublenegative.com.au:8080/jumpstart/examples/tables/ajaxformloop1 which I used as a guide worked well for me on 5.1.0.3.
In your examples you use the t:submitnotifier. I never really used it but maybe you do some DOM alterations in those event methods that Tapestry doesn't like.
