I have always had problems with the Tapestry's datepicker. It's old, and doesn't work very well. I maintain patches to it in FlowLogix, but this is an unsustainable approach. In fact, I can no longer patch it the same way in 5.4 due to AMD / RequireJS.
The bootstrap datepicker: http://www.eyecon.ro/bootstrap-datepicker/ is awesome and works much better. Can we just bite the bullet and switch to this one?
