If you've got DOS lineendings, then you downloaded the zip instead of the .tar.gz. Please download the tarball and extract it with gtar (gnu tar) to make sure you don't run into problems with long path names. Solaris is one of our major development platforms and build should run just fine. Which compiler do you use, gcc or Suns compiler?
