If you're doing performance testing, you should be doing it in a laboratory environment. You /are/ doing this on a test server, not product, right? You should be able to disable one of your servers for testing. Other factors include the resolution of the timer being used by Apache and/or mod_jk for emitting log messages. Most people don't care about high-resolution timing for things like web server logs, so I wouldn't expect Apache to be using one. Another option would be to write a trivial servlet that always does nothing and returns nothing, and then time your requests through that. You should be able to tell what communication overhead is being added by Apache httpd and mod_jk. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG/SgL9CaO5/Lv0PARAiHSAJ9lbh0iUs9pT4fM7NbCof5V8h5AiwCglMVw oReh/Xh7XwyZLBFUDcpBEJ0= =bkxT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To start a new topic, e-mail: users@tomcat.apache.org To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
