Hi,

Although I’ve been sarching a lot on the net, I can’t get Tomcat native on MacIntel OSX 10.4.10 to work.

I obtained apr through darwin-ports. I compiled the native libs and placed the generated libraries anywhere you can imagine. ( Since tomcat says this: The Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: .:/Library/Java/Extensions:/System/Library/Java/ Extensions:/usr/lib/java- I tried installing the libs on any of those places, without any success.

Can you please point out where to look for the proper procedure? Are there any more steps I can take to verify the process? I have the following libraries generated:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 1015816 Oct 24 14:35 libtcnative-1.0.1.6.dylib lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 25 Oct 24 14:35 libtcnative-1.0.dylib -> libtcnative-1.0.1.6.dylib
-rw-r--r--   1 root  wheel  1051188 Oct 24 14:35 libtcnative-1.a
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 25 Oct 24 14:35 libtcnative-1.dylib - > libtcnative-1.0.1.6.dylib
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root  wheel      919 Oct 24 14:35 libtcnative-1.la
drwxr-xr-x   3 root  wheel      102 Oct 24 14:35 pkgconfig

In /usr/local/apr/lib.

I tried adding that directory in the CATALINA_OPTS as well in catalina.sh but nothing seems to do it.

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards
Lorenzo.
