When something is in Production it really gets pickles to upgrade the Jdk /OS , 
Realy worried ....  :(

You should be able to update to the last jre 5 version with no trouble at all, and 6 will have about a 95% chance of working with no issues. Those don't take long (only a few minutes), and you can wait a while before upgrading the OS.
