"premierwiki.localdomain.com" is a a real internet domain name (it's this localdomain.com by default like it would be anything else we just had to choose something), your browser will search internet to find the adress of "premierwiki.localdomain.com" domain. It has nothing to do with XWiki, if you don't don't have any domain to link to you XWiki server you can use URL patch based multiwiki instead of domain based multiwiki.
