Yes - don't play the anti-metric brigade at their own game. yes, there maybe 'old folks' who are set in their ways, but there are many who are willing to accept change (especially where they see a benefit). Conversely, there are, unfortunately, many young folk today who are terribly conservative - ironic, given the greater ease of travel and general communication today. Take another look at the NFGC survey (http://www.usma.demon.co.uk/surveya.htm) to see that the great majority of those responding were over 55, and yet we got a significant majority in favour of metrication. Admittedly, the membership have a higher-than-average educational background, and by the nature of the organization, more active in promoting change, but I still think it's significant. -- Chris KEENAN UK Metrication: http://www.metric.org.uk/ UK Correspondent, US Metric Association
