MSNBC has a report about a new computer system that helps doctors avoid
prescribing drugs that have bad effects when mixed:
http://www.msnbc.com/news/546051.asp

According to this report, "at least 44,000 Americans, and perhaps as many as
98,000, die each year from preventable mistakes in hospitals. About
one-fifth of mistakes are believed to occur because of drug complications:
overdoses, underdoses, drug interactions, allergic reactions." I wonder how
many of the dosage errors result from incorrect FFU-to-SI conversions? This
could be our "wedge" to convince the AMA to go exclusively SI. The Surgeon
General could also be of great help on this issue.
