I don't know the answer to your question. I never got one in change from a
store. I never got a 1 $ coin in change from Wal-mart's when they were
suppose to give them out. I even had to ask then for one. but, it has been
a long, long time since I head a cashier tell me he/she hasn't seen a 2 $
bill in ages. And if they ever do say that, I just tell them that they
can't say that anymore.

See my other posting on the coin/paper situation (USMA 11706). I explain
further why the coin would be best with the paper 2 $, at least for the time
being.

Wrong! haha....

I agree the $1 being offered in paper form to hurts....but I also agree
that a $2 coin would help. Change from a $5 makes more sense with both a
$2 coin and a $1 coin.

And John..when was the last time you've actually seen a $2 in circulation?
I mean in circulation...not being the only guy who requests them at his
bank...haha.. The $2 bill just does not make sense as a supplement to the
$1 coin.
