I would agree with you partly, except it is not always possible to copy
images into the actual e mail itself; I know, I've tried it!!

Sometimes the information is far too large and makes your system crash if
you try to copy it into the e mail!

Therefore, I would say that, for some information, it is difficult not to
use an attachment!!
