Sir, I read the anti-euro editorial of 2001-91-07, "I wouldn't put my money on the euro" by William Rees-Moog on your website. There is a parallel here: when around 1790 the metric system was developed. France invited Britain to take part in this venture. True to form, Britain refused. The metric system was sure to fail. Did it really? I am looking forward to see one new big mistake vis-a-vis Europe in the making. Being anti-EU, you want the euro to fail, of course. We'll see. Yours faithfully, H.
