I saw it on the labels of US cosmetics companies, lie Estee Lauder and Donna Karan. Typically such label says something like this: 5 FL.OZ/OZ.LIQ/150 mL I wonder whether Estee Lauder and Donna Karan labels in the US are in fluid ounce only, while we have those other labels on their export products ? If that should be true, then something stinks to high heaven! If their US produce is labelled in US fl.oz. only, please let me know, for I intend to contact our W&M department on dealing with ifp incursions.
And as these companies are American, this is the US fl.oz. alright, Han Historian of Dutch Metrication, Nijmegen, The Netherlands Han ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "U.S. Metric Association" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, May 05, 2002 3:08 PM Subject: [USMA:19917] Re: Elizabeth Taylor Perfume > > Of Han Maenen > > The once liquide has never been a legal unit in the EU, that is for > sure. > > And it is not used as a secondary indicator, but as a primary one! > > Where have you seen it in the EU? > > The term 'secondary' is usually referred to as 'supplementary' in > weights and measures.
