I am native from South of France (Provence). People there use colored 
images to qualify a number of things. For example, when referring to 
an exceptionally lengthy period of time, they say "It is as long as 
killing a donkey with watermelons". When you know how strong is a 
donkey's skull and how soft a watermelon...
