I have been in contact with Prof Connor over the last couple of years. He has
now completed his companion volume, "The Weights and Measures of Scotland".
However, last I heard was that he was having difficulties with the putative
publisher (National Museums of Scotland) over whether they could afford to
publish it, as they presumably see it as too erudite for today's market. I
have suggested several times that he tries to get WME re-published, but he
has never responded to my urgings.
