For decades, this has been the way that they look at the issue i.e. that
"metric is for science". Their attempt at switching many years ago was
doomed to failure. What they did was to define an article as 'science' and
'not science'. The 'science' articles were metric only. The 'not science'
articles were non-metric only. Thus it was impossible to understand an
entire issue without being bilingual in both systems.

If they are still using the "metric is for science" concept, then I am
disappointed. I can think of several other strategies that have been, or
could be, used.
