American English will tend to use the 're' spelling in proper nouns such as,
"The Realto Theatre is located in the Commerce Centre at the center of
town." US English does not use the "gramme" spelling either. It is
program, not programme. Interestingly enough, British English uses gram for
the SI mass rather than gramme like it used to. Using gramme for the unit
of mass in SI is incorrect in British English as well as American English.
Canadian English tend to use the British spellings but have American terms
such as elevator instead of lift. Canadian English is also influenced by
Quebecois.
