There are only 2 more days remaining to submit comments on Notice No. 73 regarding labeling of alcoholic beverages. The main thrust of Notice No. 73 is that TTB proposes to amend its regulations to require a statement of alcohol content, expressed as a percentage of alcohol by volume, on all alcohol beverage products. However, this can be our chance to voice our opinion on making the labeling uniform in metric.
Go to: www.regulations.gov and in the second textbox (under "Comment and Submission") type in "notice no 73" and click Go. The first item to come up will be Notice No. 73 -- Labeling and Advertising of Wines, Distilled Spirits and Malt Beverages<http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/component/main?main=DocumentDetail&o=09000064802701a7> Directly under the title, there will be a "Send Comment or Submission" link. This will take you to a page where comments can be made. Please take the time to make your voice heard. As an example, you can look at the thorough and well-thought-out submissions by the folks on gometric.us: http://gometric.us/jforum/posts/list/94.page Remek
