No, nothing hard . I've just heard it said by a couple people who worked in
the gas industry. I would tend to think that newer pumps would certainly be
easier to convert than older ones, maybe as easy as setting the internal
computer to count in liters and then taping over the gallon sign on the pump
and writing liters over it .
